The Comedy of Errors

The Comedy of Errors

A Comedy that weaves together hilarious mishaps,
mistaken identities and misdirected passions

By William Shakespeare
Directed by Susan K. Berkompas

Shakespeare’s first of two farces, The Comedy of Errors, is driven by coincidence and slapstick. Two sets of twins are accidentally separated at birth and then tip like dominoes into wild sets of circumstances and mishaps that lead to wrongful beatings; arrests and imprisonments; accusations of infidelity; acts of supposed thievery; and perceived madness. But, familial and romantic love prevail in the end, and neatly tie up all the frazzled wits and frayed loose ends.  Suitable for ages 6 and older
